Skein

Skein is my first attempt at writing a short solo RPG. It uses other books and texts as a medium of play. The feeling I tried to evoke was 'becoming lost in your own thoughts'.
Inspiration came from the book House of Leaves (by Mark Z. Danielewski), and the dread of being lost in a labyrinth it invokes.

The result is a 10-20min game where you navigate through words and meaning, trying your hardest not to think about the proverbial 'pink elephants'.

How to play: print this pamphlet, fold it, and read it. Then grab a book and a pencil, and scribble your way through a maze of text. When you're done, use the pamphlet as a bookmark, or pass it to another person.
