Bare Threads

Bare Threads is a two-player game about a difficult conversation and a strained connection.
The players create two characters in an uneasy partnership. Using a Cat's Cradle as a basis, the players take turns uncovering the underlying tensions between them. As the story unravels, they ask each other meaningful questions that reflect their characters' vulnerabilities. Each Cradle figure represents a new scene, more difficult to navigate than the previous.
Ultimately, whether the characters strengthen their bond or must cut ties is a matter of communication.

Instructions:

• Print this pamphlet double-sided.
• Use a ruler to crease along the two vertical lines inside, folding it into three sections.
• Work with your partner to create a scenario about two people in an uneasy partnership (not necessarily a romantic one).
• You can refer to the scenarios examples on the pamphlet or make up your own.
