How many outcomes are there on a standard d6?
Not a d66 or 2d6, just a single die?
If you said "six," you're way off.
Try forty-eight instead.

If you're unfamiliar with the d66 roll table, it works like this: you roll two d6s (or one die twice). One number becomes the "ones" digit, and the other becomes the "tens," giving you a table with 36 possible results (e.g., 1-1, 1-2, 1-3... 6-4, 6-5, 6-6). Standard stuff.

While I was making a small map this afternoon, I noticed the Hexcrawl Workbook by JP Dixon. It’s a handy PnP notebook for filling out blank hex maps, but what really caught my eye was the cover: a perspective view of a d6 next to some hexes.

I finished the PDF that same evening.

Now you can download and print it, then start filling it in with interesting prompts.
Go make something awesome!
