What are the Session Axioms?

Cheat sheets to make DMs prep time easier. The bare minimum of information you need to run a one session adventure. It is 5e-centric, but can be adapted to other systems.

How to use them?
Print, fill with relevant info, place them in front of you during game.

Session prep
Follow Sly Flourish's approach to building a single session: "Write down 10 Truths, Secrets, Locations, NPCs, etc.".
The hexes can be used to make a quick map of connected adventure locations.
Hexes sharing a side are connected. Number the locations, or sketch what's there.
The bullet points can serve as a simple Progress Clock.
If you play solo, or want to speed up combat, there's also a simple enemy behavior generator.

Battlefield objectives
Tips on building dynamic and interesting battlefields for combat and interaction.
Objectives, field hazards, enemy abilities that can change the tide of battle, etc.

NPC archetypes
Come up with an NPC on the spot. What role does the NPC fulfill? Take a look at the list, and base it on an existing fictional character. You can also choose the archetype you need, and give it another characters' personality to make them memorable.

NPC Creator
